Launched in 2011, the Gabriel Al-Salem International Award for Excellence in Consulting honors leaders in the consulting arena, spotlighting their innovative and socially responsible endeavors. This prestigious award targets professional consultants who deliver outstanding results, culminating in tangible improvements to client company performances. It also emphasizes the promotion of the highest professional standards and best practices within the consulting industry.

We especially appreciate projects that support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing solutions that address global challenges and pave the way for a brighter, more sustainable future for all.

Eligibility

The Gabriel Al-Salem Foundation welcomes applications for its Award from:

• Individual consultants
• Consulting teams
• Consulting enterprises

Applications are accepted globally, with special encouragement and priority given to those from low to medium-income countries.

To be considered for the Award, applicants must complete the online application detailing the impact and innovation of a project implemented by you or your consulting company.

Consultants may submit up to 3 projects for consideration. The projects must have been completed within the past 3 years.

There is no application fee.

International Award Committee

The International Award for Excellence in Consulting Committee is an honorary Board of esteemed leaders in management consulting, business, research and executives from an array of expertise, who collectively determine the Award winners.

Evaluation

We assess each application based on a set of criteria encompassing tangible results and the performance impact on the client's business or activities. Additionally, we consider innovativeness, originality, and the potential for a broader impact on the community, country, or region.

The International Award Committee will award additional points to projects that incorporate one or more of the following elements:

1. Environmental Responsibility: Initiatives aimed at reducing pollution and carbon footprint, promoting the sustainable use of natural resources, etc.
2. Human Rights Responsibility: Upholding fair labor practices, such as equal pay for equal work, and fostering greater inclusion of women, youth, etc.
3. Ethical Social Responsibility: Adherence to fair trade practices, respect for the rule of law, and similar principles.
4. Philanthropic Responsibility: Activities like funding educational programs, backing health initiatives, donating to causes, volunteering, and supporting community improvement projects.

The Award Committee will recognize 3 to 5 deserving projects without designating specific rankings.

Benefits of the Award

Gabriel Al-Salem Foundation established the Award to honor consultants and consulting organizations and to highlight their impactful work in the area of innovation and social responsibility. Winners will be announced and celebrated at both virtual and in-person events hosted by the Gabriel Al-Salem Foundation (details on locations and dates will be announced). Additionally, their achievements will be showcased on the Foundation's website and across its social media channels. The winners will receive the complimentary Gold Award Package which includes: A personalized digital Certificate of Achievement; Two complimentary passes to Gabriel Al-Salem Foundation’s in-person or virtual conference /celebration event, where awards will be presented; An invitation to be a guest speaker at the monthly Consulting Without Borders - LIVE Perspectives’ show; An opportunity to present the winning project at the Foundation’s annual conference/cameration events on February 1; A spotlight on the winners’ page of the Gabriel Al-Salem Foundation’s website; An exclusive invitation to connect with other forward-thinking and innovative consultants and businesses through the Foundation’s social media channels, groups, and in-person and online events; Special announcements and recognition on various partner websites and social media platforms.

Winners have the opportunity to purchase the Platinum Award Package* to further celebrate their accomplishment. This package comprises:

• A printed and custom-framed Certificate of Achievement (A4 format);
• A bespoke engraved Regal Trophy adorned with the winner's name and logo.
