Special Recognition Award «Consulting Without Borders» for unique contribution to the development of the consulting profession worldwide was presented to Calvert Markham (UK), Professor of CASS Business School in London, Founder of Elevation Learning Ltd, which since its formation in 1989 trained thousands of consultants from hundreds of organizations around the world. 

Calvert served for many years (until 2013) as a UK Trustee on the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) of which he was a Vice Chairman, chairing the Professional Standards Committee, which oversees global standards in management consultancy.  He is a Fellow of the UK Institute of Consulting of which he was President in 2004,  Calvert is the author of several books on management consultancy, notably Management Consultancy (jointly with Joe O’Mahoney, second edition 2013) and two long-standing favorites, Practical Management Consultancy and The Top Consultant, the latest edition of each being recently published as e-books.
